Apartment!

Our room in Roma!! Well, the basic idea anyways. Its hard to do a 360 view with straight pictures :) Kaitlin's side is the left bed with all the post cards on the wall. My bed is the all pink one with the cheetah tapestry. Of course, right? Then the door connects our room with our roommates, Suki and Lia! That's nice to have, so we don't have to go all the way through our big entry room. Then Kaitlin's desk is on the left and mine's on the right of the window! As you can see, we don't have a dryer, like most Italians, so we hang dry our clothes! Back to the stone ages :D and then the tie-dye tapestry is gorgeous in real life. We got it at an outdoor flea market from a rastafarian guy! And then our closet is the big white thing (duh). Mine is the side with the pictures on it. I love black and white photos and I found a little stand at a flea market that sells a ton of them! Good find, Amy! :) And this is our view from our window. It's beautiful.

We cook almost every night because going out is too expensive for us. Even though they give us meal tickets, a supermarket right near our school takes them for groceries! So we mostly eat out for lunch and then just eat breakfast and dinner at home. Us cooking at home! This was our first meal at hooome finally after a long two weeks of being in a hotel in Florence. We seem to eat a lot of pasta ;)

Our kitchen is a pretty good size, too! A small refrigerator for 7 girls, but it works out. We have a small dinner table, a sink, and a washing mashine! Ha ha apparently it's the norm for Europeans to have their washing machine in the kitchen. It makes for a nice table too :)

We love our apartment and our roommates! We have an amazing group of girls. We really lucked out, because a lot of people only have 2 or 4 girls in their apartment and they live far away from people. Although we are kindaa far from downtown, the 7 girls that live here have fun just hanging out at home altogether. More to come sooon!

Ciao for now :)
